I took the course in the midst of the pandemic so it was remote (online). GA still managed to conduct the course in a very diverse and interactive manner. I got to learn and network with people from different parts of the world and education background. This course helped me in my career as it taught me how to bring a product from the ideation to execution and how to actively communicate as a product manager.

Having no prior background in the field, the GA digital marketing course really helped me understand the concepts and tools needed to run a successful digital marketing campaign. This amazing experience is also attributed to the teaching ability and enthusiasm of the course instructors, Tara McFall and Lachie Dowding.

The HTML and CSS program helped me build new skill sets as it was something I was not really exposed to. It made me curious about other aspects of coding and built my confidence to try new things. I’m now keen to explore and expand that curiosity into other areas such as data analytics.

The part I enjoyed most about my UXDi journey with GA was being constantly pushed out of my comfort zone. I feel like I’ve learnt so much about myself as well as UX Design.

Being ‘immersed’ with a group of people who are all passionate about UX design and have different ways of approaching problems has been a great learning opportunity. With people coming from different professional backgrounds, there’s always something to learn from others.

I chose a General Assembly course due to its worldwide presence and good reviews from a few data bloggers. At the end of each class, the instructor will give us a take home test, to strengthen our understanding. What's great about GA is that they hire professional practitioners as instructors. My instructor was Greg Baker, who used to work with Google and he has vast experience dealing with real-world problems.
