General Assembly Malaysia has collaborated with UPSI to be part of the National Economic Regeneration Plan (PENJANA). The main objective of the PENJANA KPT-CAP is to upskill Public and Private University graduates to increase their marketability/opportunity to secure a job placement.
- This programme is for Malaysian Citizens who fulfil the following criteria:
- IPTA/IPTS Bachelor's degree graduate OR Master's holder
- Aged 40 and below
- CGPA 3.0 above or equivalent
- Currently unemployed
- Not a beneficiary of similar programmes (e.g Penjana, MySTEP)
Unfortunately, If you are a diploma holder or a professional certificate holder (i.e ACCA). You are not eligible for this programme.
As part of our programme, all learners have access to personalised career coaching and placement support. Additionally, learners will be equipped with a Career Success Toolkit through a series of learning sessions exploring the skills and mindsets required to land jobs and thrive in them. The professional development support will be delivered in tandem with our signature digital skills training to boost the employability of all our learners.
No, this programme is 100% sponsored by the Ministry of Higher Education upon successful application into the programme. However, if you drop out from the programme, you are required to reimburse the training fees.
The programme comprises 5 weeks (mostly weekday classes) of training in your respective course. The following 6 months will focus on job placements with support from the General Assembly Malaysia team.
No, all three Data Analytics, Digital Marketing and User Experience courses are designed to be beginner-friendly.
Yes! If you successfully complete this programme, you will receive a certificate of completion. Thousands of GA alumni use their course certification to demonstrate skills to employers and their LinkedIn network.
We will work with graduates to help secure their next career opportunity within 180 days of successful graduation of the programme. This however is not a guarantee.
The programme will be held completely online. Learners are required to have a stable internet connection and own or have access to a laptop or PC in order to attend the classes and complete the coursework.
Details about the syllabus of each course can be found here: Data Analytics, Digital Marketing, UX Design. Do note that the courses for the UPSI KPT-CAP Programme will still run for 40 hours but will be condensed into 5 weeks of learning, as opposed to the standard 10 weeks.
Classes will be held in batches of 2 cohorts. The start dates for each cohort are as follows:
- Cohort 1: 20th March, 2023
- Cohort 2: 27th March, 2023
After submitting your application, you will receive confirmation of your submission and eligibility within 5 working days. Subsequently, we will schedule an interview session with our Admissions team. We’ll notify successful applicants via email.
No, each individual is only eligible to apply for ONE course. You must have also not participated in any Penjana KPT-CAP programmes or any other similar programmes.
You may apply if your employment ends before the class start date.
Example: Cohort 1 class starts on 20th March, 2023. Thus your employment must end by 19th March, 2023.
Yes, you can.
You may withdraw from the programme 10 working days before the course start date by emailing penjana-kpt-cap@akademiga.com. Learners who withdraw after this day will no longer be eligible for any future funded programme that is delivered by General Assembly Malaysia and the programme partners.
If you drop out during the programme, you will be required to pay the full tuition fee.
Yes. An official offer will be made and learners are required to enter into a Sponsorship Agreement with General Assembly Malaysia.
